Description
Reporting to the Head of Products, the Physical Fuel Oil Trader will be tasked with a range of responsibilities aimed at optimizing trading operations and maximizing profitability.
Responsibilities
The Physical Fuel Oil Trader will stay well-informed about dynamic market conditions and changes, executing daily pricing exposure hedges, meeting financial and volume targets through trade execution, and actively seeking new opportunities to expand market share in key sectors. The Physical Fuel Oil Trader will collaborate closely with operations to plan logistics effectively, aiming to maximize cargo value while minimizing supply disruptions. Ensuring compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s credit policy by checking counterparty credit limits, monitoring, and reporting PnL for trade transactions, optimizing cargo value, and maximizing storage utilization are also crucial aspects of your role. Regular reporting on trades and market conditions through weekly and monthly reports is expected, and you will be open to undertaking any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a degree in Business, Engineering, or an equivalent field, and have a solid foundation of 4-6 years of relevant working experience. Strong entrepreneurial qualities, strategic thinking capabilities, effective planning and organizing skills, as well as proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making will be vital for success in this role. Furthermore, possessing excellent people skills and negotiation abilities will contribute to your effectiveness in managing trading relationships and optimizing trading outcomes.
