Job Description

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

Provide technical support for the Corporate Website after go-live on the Optical platform.

Troubleshoot UI/UX issues, CMS templates/components (Directus-based), API integrations, and data ingestion.

Develop and maintain integrations with backend systems, datasets, and external services.

Ensure secure handling of APIs, tokens, and system configurations.

Work closely with content and product teams to ensure usability and alignment with site architecture.

Support UAT defect fixes and sprint-level testing.

Maintain automated tests, code quality, accessibility, and performance scans.

Ensure compliance with security standards

Prepare technical documentation, release notes, and change records.

Provide knowledge transfer to relevant stakeholders and team members.

Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, review, retrospective).

Work closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Use GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

Experience with Directus CMS or similar headless CMS platforms (Optical experience is a strong advantage).

Knowledge of REST API design, JSON, OAuth2, and API security.

DevOps & Infrastructure

Familiarity with GitLab and DevSecOps principles.

Experience with Docker and containerisation concepts.

Knowledge of web infrastructure, AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, ALB/NLB), caching layers, and CDN configuration.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Experience implementing automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing).

Familiarity with code quality scanning tools and practices.

Knowledge of accessibility testing standards and tools (WCAG compliance).

Experience with performance testing methodologies and tools.

Additional Technical Knowledge

Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, and cloud environments.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
