The Government Digital Services (GDS) Team aims to spearhead the digital transformation of government. Our team aims to design and develop software applications that help government agencies to better serve the needs of the people of Singapore.

We are looking for software developers that are open and enthusiastic about end to end software delivery and trying out new technologies. Be part of a cross-functional development team that values quality, automation and user experience of the software we deliver.

What to expect

\xe2\x97\x8f Mainly responsible for software design and development of web frontend and backend applications

\xe2\x97\x8f Write automated functional and unit testing for the code you write

\xe2\x97\x8f Develop backend APIs & databases supporting the applications

\xe2\x97\x8f Design and develop applications leveraging cloud technologies

\xe2\x97\x8f Assist DevOps Engineer on build and release automation

\xe2\x97\x8f Work closely with fellow developers in pair programming and code review

\xe2\x97\x8f Work closely with Business Analyst, Quality Engineer, User Interface/User Experience Designers to deliver features

Requirements

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience with front-end development framework such as /

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in server-side web application development using

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience on working on CI/CD pipeline

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience of leveraging on cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) etc

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiar with Javascript unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiar with Agile and Continuous Integration and Delivery Practices

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiar with version control using Git

\xe2\x97\x8f Open to work on other platforms because we want a cross-functional team

Preferred

\xe2\x97\x8f Minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience

\xe2\x97\x8f Solid Fundamentals in Javascript & Typescript

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiarity with building reusable web components will be an advantage

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiarity on how search engines components work (crawl, index, search)

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiar with practices such as Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development

\xe2\x97\x8f Familiar with Docker

\xe2\x97\x8f Collaborative team player with good interpersonal and presentation skills
