Fund Accountant
Job Description
Amitell Capital is a Singapore-based private investment firm. The firm invests globally in both the public and private capital markets.
We are currently looking for a Singapore Citizen/PR candidate to fill the role of Fund Accountant. This role offers extensive exposure to buy-side operations, high visibility and the opportunity for significant career progression. The candidate must be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The individual should be meticulous, thoughtful, team-oriented and articulate
The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of relevant finance and fund administration experience with strong excel skills (VBA skills desirable) and hedge fund/fund of funds accounting knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of fund operations and accounting, including:
- Daily trade allocation / confirmation / matching & reconciliation;
- Daily PNL, cash and position reconciliation;
- Monthly NAV reconciliations and performance reviews; and
- Managing relationships with key counter parties (eg Prime Brokers, Fund Administrator, etc).
- Cash reconciliation;
- Accounts payable; and
- Negotiation of contracts
- Assist in the onboarding of new investors as well as ongoing reviews.
- Assist in audit - both external and internal.
- Assist in regulatory surveys
