About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group\'s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

  • To proactively handle / manage all day-to-day matters and to maintain effective governance and operational risk controls relating to the assigned NPLs.
  • Manage, evaluate and formulate account strategy / action plan for management\'s approval.
  • Negotiate / seek approval on viable debt restructuring / workout plan.
  • Execute / implement / monitor on progress and effectiveness of the approved debt restructuring / workout plan.
  • Follow up on recovery plan via security enforcement.
  • Close co-ordination with legal counsels, receivers, financial advisers and other professionals assisting UOB in the loan recovery/restructuring.
Job Requirements
  • A degree from recognised institution or relevant professional qualification.
  • Relevant credit / loan structuring skillsets.
  • Experience with insolvency work / debt restructuring work / legal procedures and processes, knowledge of key legal principles pertaining to lending and securities.
  • Familiarity with corporate finance work will be useful.
  • Experienced negotiator with good interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • Team player and able to guide junior members in the team.
