Job Position: Junior GC Analyst

Performing GC-MS analysis on a wide range of raw materials and fragrance samples. Collaborating in analytical projects with Senior Perfumers by providing detailed analytical reports.


Support in maintaining daily operations in GC-MS laboratory and develop new methods to further improve analytical support.

Key duties and responsibilities

Conduct detailed analysis and reverse-engineering of complex fragrances from a diverse range of market products across all categories. Operate and maintain advanced analytical instruments, including

GC-MS

and

GC-FID

, to reconstruct complete fragrance formulas. Support quality control by analyzing production samples to ensure fragrance consistency and adherence to specifications. Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to off-notes or batch inconsistencies. Maintain and update a comprehensive internal reference library of analytical data for raw materials and finished products. Collaborate closely with perfumers, evaluators, and the QC team to facilitate fragrance development and provide technical problem-solving support.

Required Skills:

Min Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology Proficient in the Microsoft Suite Applications (Excel, Words, Power Point) and good presentation skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the fragrance and or perfumery industry Operational experience and strong affinity on laboratory system, analytical equipment and instruments preferred Ability to work both independently and / or within a team environment * Sensory Evaluation experience
