Role Summary
We are a leading furniture company with a global presence, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager, Asia Retail to lead the retail business to serve the Asia markets, primarily Singapore, Malaysia, and Korea with company and franchise retail network and operations.Key Responsibilities:
The General Manager, Asia Retail is responsible for driving the Asia Retail Business strategy, execution, and performance.
He/she will work in partnership with the local market leadership to develop and implement the business growth strategy, and cohesive customer engagement strategy, drive the execution, and deliver the results.

  • Drive the Company retail and brands/franchise business growth, customer and team experience
  • Develop, effectively communicate, and implement the Asia and local programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Collect and provide feedback on campaigns and programs to assist in determining overall effectiveness, and ROI and to drive ongoing improvement.
  • Lead, coach and develop market and store leadership on retail business acumen.
  • Provide locally-relevant solutions and make recommendations to meet the local business customer needs.
  • Develop annual budgets for retail operations and manage expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency without compromising on quality or service and operational standards.
  • Monitoring and controlling expenses and budgets, including payroll, operational costs, and overhead expenses. Analyzing financial reports and implementing cost-effective measures to improve profitability.
  • Assist in developing significant customer accounts or opportunities.
Required Skills
  • At least 15 years of retail or brand/franchise operations
  • Minimally 5 years of leadership experience overseeing a region or sector
  • Willing and able to hands-on
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain, and leverage strong business relationships through multiple customer levels.
  • Successful experience in managing and developing sales strategies, with a thorough understanding of the complex sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication skills with business customers, store teams, and leadership teams.
  • Strong strategic and organizational skills, with the adapt ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Entrepreneurial in getting problems solved
  • Measure what matters and make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
