A well-established premium brand in the seafood manufacturing industry with a 30+ year legacy is seeking a highly capable and pragmatic General Manager to lead its operations in Singapore. This vertically integrated business specializes in the production of smoked seafood, value-added soups, sauces, and ready-to-eat meals for B2B and B2C markets. The company serves a wide array of customers from international hotels and F&B chains to supermarkets and direct consumers.
This is a pivotal leadership role requiring strong operational command, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive profitability and business revitalization. The successful candidate will be instrumental in steering the company through the next phase of strategic growth, including export market development.
Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic and Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations across six integrated departments: Fresh Processing, Smoking, Hot Kitchen, Logistics/Warehouse, Sales & Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
Lead end-to-end production processes -- from raw material handling and brining, to smoking, slicing, packaging, and final distribution.
Optimize workflow, reduce waste, and ensure efficient resource utilization across the plant.
2. Commercial & Business Development
Identify and develop new revenue streams, including export opportunities and new market segments.
Strengthen relationships with key B2B clients (hotels, food service chains, retailers) and oversee custom product development for major F&B brands.
Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to revitalize the brand and grow consumer engagement across platforms.
3. Financial Management
Take full P&L responsibility and drive profitability improvement initiatives.
Monitor financial KPIs, implement cost-control strategies, and develop business forecasts and investment plans.
4. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure full compliance with food safety and certification standards including FSC 22000, HACCP, Halal (MUIS), ASC, and MSC.
Oversee and support QA/QC team in preparation for audits and documentation for regulatory and customer requirements.
5. Team Leadership & Culture
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams including production, sales, marketing, logistics, and QA.
Foster a performance-driven culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
Candidate Profile

Experience:
Minimum 10 years' leadership experience in food manufacturing, with proven expertise in seafood processing or related sectors (protein, RTE meals, soups/sauces, smoked products).
Experience in hotel or central kitchen is a plus Strong track record in factory operations, food safety systems, and commercial P&L leadership.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of production workflows, cold chain logistics, quality certifications, and process improvement. Familiarity with export regulations and international market dynamics will be a plus.
