Job Description

What the role is:
SMP develops sector strategies to tackle emerging issues, plans the longer-term structure of services and infrastructure, and oversees the account management of key Social Service Agencies to support service delivery.
What you will be working on:
The job holder will: - Build accessibility analysis workflows to analyse service coverage of service locations and client proximity to service locations, based on public transportation travel (without a network dataset) - (and/or) Build and document demand-supply gap analysis workflows - Create map and table outputs from the analyses to support infrastucture/service planning - Assist with ad hoc/exploratory geospatial analysis requirements - Assist in creating a "resource portal" for self-help
What we are looking for:
Functional/Technical Competencies Required - Knowledge in geospatial network analysis - Proficient in programming language (e.g. Python) and use/application of APIs - Basic proficiency in QGIS and familiarity with creating maps - (Optional) Webpage creation, design, organisation/management General Competencies: - Good research, communication, and presentation skills with ability to translate complex data into clear insights - Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality - An interest in customer insights and service improvement through data-driven approaches - Proactive, problem-solving attitude with ability to work with diverse datasets and stakeholders - Eagerness to learn with mentorship and guidance from experienced data analysts
