Provide oversight and advisory to Bangkok branch on AML/CFT related matters.
Work with Head of Compliance to manage AML/CFT and Compliance risks for the branch and being back up for compliance advisory during her absence.
Have a regular meetings and discussions with Bangkok branch and GM for sharing of AML/CFT issues/ concerns, OCBC Group policies / procedures and local regulatory requirements.
Provide oversight and advisory to compliance officer and CDDM staffs on AML/CFT and KYC/CDD related work
Review AML/CFT compliance related reports for submission to internal and external parties within timeline.
Provide advisory to and monitor business / support units to ensure compliance with local AML/CFT requirements and Group policies and procedures.
Raise staff's awareness on key local regulatory requirement, Group Compliance & AML/CFT policies.
Communicate to all relevant staff on new AML/CFT rules/regulations and their potential impacts to the Bank's business and operational units promptly.
Review the branch's AML/CFT policies and procedures in compliance with local and Group AML/CFT requirements.
Identify AML/CFT issues / risks / concerns and work with related parties to close them.
Review annual FCC workplan and monitor for completion within timeline.
Perform compliance monitoring and testing on AML/CFT related matters.
Participate in any AML/CFT related projects including AML Entity Risk Self-Assessment and AML System and policy implementation.
Conduct KYC/CDD review.
Work with related parties to complete remediation exercise when there is any compliance identifies gaps / issues and any new & existing regulatory projects / requirements
Review all audit & inspection issues and ensure action plans address issues and are completed on time
Participate in any internal and external meetings relating to AML/CFT matters
Attend regular AML/CFT meeting to update key AML/CFT matters and issues to Senior Mgt and staff
Qualifications Requirements :
A university degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance, Banking or Law or related discipline with at least 10 years' relevant experience in financial services industry (such as private, retail, wholesale banking, insurance, asset management or securities firms)
Broad knowledge of business, products and operations of the financial industry, and familiar with FCC regulatory requirements impacting financial institutions and jurisdictions which OCBC operates in
Strong analytical skills and clear thought process
Strong influencing, written and oral communication skills
Ability to engage senior management and collaborate with various stakeholders
Some travelling is required
