:
Our client is a global manufacturing company serving to various industrial sectors. They are currently looking for an experienced Global Category Manager, Indirect to be a part of their newly established procurement organization in Singapore.
Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing initiatives and negotiate contracts for a broad range of indirect categories.
• Create and drive global procurement strategies that align with overall business and operational goals.
• Improve cost efficiency by standardizing facility-related equipment, running competitive bids, and implementing savings programs.
• Select, assess, and oversee global and regional suppliers in partnership with Facilities teams to maintain quality, compliance, and service levels.
• Track industry developments and regulatory shifts to support informed sourcing decisions.
• Reduce supply-chain exposure through forward planning and robust contingency measures.
• Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Facilities on major projects, including new site development and facility expansions.
• Lead supplier performance management activities such as business reviews and scorecard reporting.
• Support purchasing operations, including handling requisitions and PO confirmations when required.
• Provide procurement support to global manufacturing plants, engineering sites, and service centers.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate strategic supplier partnerships and drive long-term value.
• Highly proactive, with strong planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of procurement practices and experience within electronics or manufacturing environments.
• Comfortable adapting quickly to shifting business needs while maintaining professionalism.
• Able to manage several initiatives at once in a fast-moving environment.
• Proficient in SAP, Ariba, and standard MS Office applications.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management, ideally within real estate, infrastructure, or utilities.
• Experience overseeing significant global spend levels and conducting commodity analysis.
• Skilled in supplier contracting, performance management, and supporting Procure-to-Pay activities.
