Support senior bankers/ associates to build and develop effective relationships with our clients and other key stakeholders - internal as well as external
Provide coverage, sales and marketing support (to the senior bankers and associates) for in-scope banking products, including cash management, trade, traditional credit, debt capital markets, derivative & vanilla markets (across rates, FX, commodities) as well as futures and options product offerings. Ensure seamless execution of transactions from initial pitch through to close.
Drive the Know Your Client (KYC) process, which includes co-ordination internally with the onboarding teams and product partners to ensure timely approvals of the KYC submissions for renewals, remediation and onboarding of new clients. This also includes detailed client screening and associated disposition processes
Conduct comprehensive client analysis and research to identify business needs/opportunities for both existing and prospect clients and be able to help convert client analysis into concrete banking solutions that fit well with our risk/return parameters
Support Senior Bankers in conducting industry research as well as be abreast with the latest developments on our clients, their competitors, the regulatory and macroeconomic environment
Provide support to the Senior Bankers on strategic initiatives such as onboarding of new clients, researching prospect names as well as developing forward looking account plans for clients
Provide support on the balance sheet approval process and be able to coordinate with the various teams in creating the submission paper/ back-up material, including modelling scenarios for risk, return and capital purposes
Co-ordinate internally across the various lines of business, including credit, legal and other teams, ensuring delivery of best-in-class services and solutions are being offered to our clients
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related fields
Minimum one year of experience of covering large Singapore corporates with an understanding of banking products
Strong awareness of external tools essential to drive the client agenda. e.g. Dealogic and Coalition market data analysis, Rating Agency analysis, economic data, brokerage reports, etc.
Strong team player with the ability to take ownership of tasks, which includes having sound commercial sense, a good set of influencing skills and the ability to build trust with clients as well as internal stakeholders, a proven track record of managing cross cultural environments and being able to foster inter-department collaboration/behavior
Able to perform under pressure, has the ability to multi-task and work effectively across geographies/time zones
Must possess a strong risk and control focused mindset with clear track record of working in a private side Commercial & Investment Banking framework
Display consistently high standards of personal integrity and commercial judgment
Excellent communication skill to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of business

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
Product knowledge, particularly on financial/debt capital markets, credit assessment skills and prior experience running syndicated/club lending transactions will be a distinct advantage
Candidates with relevant internship experience can also be considered
