About The Role


This role will have the unique opportunity to lead and design Zespri’s Global Digital Marketing vision and strategy, as well as recommend and implement the operating framework, capabilities and structure. This is a key role that reflects Zespri’s ambition to develop world-class Digital Marketing capabilities and reports directly into the Global GM of Marketing. This role will require close collaboration with Global and Local Marketing teams, Sales, Information Services, Global Media and creative agencies of record. This is a chance to have a significant impact on the way Zespri operate and grow now and in the future.

Accountabilities


  • Develop the vision for and implementation of Zespri’s digital transformation including “Data Driven Marketing” to drive better decision making across the marketing teams.
  • Develop Zespri’s global digital marketing strategy to achieve relevant brand and sales targets.
  • Co-create with Marketing teams the Zespri global digital marketing plan that supports overall Marketing Strategy
  • Define Zespri’s global digital media strategy and best practice, collaborating with Global Media team and agency to develop and deploy digital media best practice guidelines.
  • Measure and report performance of owned and paid digital marketing campaigns, optimizing spend and performance based on the insights
  • Create and implement a Global Digital Marketing operating framework and guiding principles
  • Assess and provide joint recommendation with IS of the enabling capabilities & requirements
  • Collaborate with Global Brand team to define a globally consistent social media strategy and presence
  • Own and develop Global relationships with digital media and data partners

Qualifications & Experience


Experiences & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience with proven track record in leading the development and successful implementation of Digital Marketing strategies and digital transformation in global organizations (FMCG, related consumer product categories and agencies in related spaces).
  • Experience within a Global and/or Regional matrix environment managing stakeholders
  • Experience managing Global and/or Regional media and data agencies, vendors and partners
  • Previous people management experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business or related fields

Technical Capability
  • Digital marketing & analytics expertise
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Strong presentation skills verbal and written
  • Experience in matrix organizations and interacting with cross functional teams
  • Brand strategy and communication
  • Website implementation & management
  • Commercial and financial acumen
