About the Security Assurance Team at ByteDance
The team is missioned to build infrastructures, platforms and technologies, as well as to support cross-functional teams to protect our users, products and infrastructures. In this team, you\'ll have a unique opportunity to have first-hand exposure to the strategy of the company in key security initiatives, especially in building scalable and secure-by-design systems and solutions. Our challenges are not your regular day-to-day technical problems; you\'ll be part of a team that\'s developing new solutions to new challenges of a kind not previously addressed by big tech. It\'s working fast, at scale, and we\'re making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Identify data security risks, perform data classification, desensitization, watermarking and encryption.
• Establish a data security risk assessment system throughout the data life cycle and build supporting risk quantification standards and promote risk governance.
• Map, understand, cleanse, normalize, and analyze large and complex sets of data including multiple product sets, and user and vendor specific sets to drive understanding and identification of risk factors in underlying processes.
• Responsible for designing permission management strategies and solutions. Work with relevant teams to implement permission management plans and improve permission management levels.
• Regularly conduct data security training, publicity and examinations to strengthen employees\' data security awareness.
• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field, such as information security, security analysis or risk management.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, with experience in data security construction preferred.
• Understand data security products such as data leakage prevention, UEBA, sensitive data identification, data sharing and have experience in data security product planning, design, development, and operation.
• Be familiar with the best industry practices in regards to data security.
• Have strong logical thinking, communication, coordination and project management ability.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in security analysis and risk management.
• Working knowledge of statistics, measurement, metric design and machine learning, with excellent analytics skills.
• Data governance and project management experience.
