About the Team
The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. With millions of loyal users globally, we believe TikTok is an ideal platform to deliver a brand new and better e-commerce experience to our users. This role sits within the E-Commerce Governance and Experience team. This team is responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user experience and work on policies, rules, products and systems to ensure quality.

The Ecommerce Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for enrich, engage and empower all Tiktok E-commerce customers by creating an exceptional experience through high quality products, content, and service. GNE Business Planning and Engagement (BPE) team is a horizontal function within GNE. We drive strategic direction, set a reasonable goal, and enhance effective collaboration, communication processes and working culture, to better support GNE to achieve the overall business goal globally. We are looking for a global lead for Business Planning and Engagement team to join our team.

Role & Responsibility:
1. Lead the strategy and operations planning cycle of E-commerce Governance and Experience globally, including goal setting, prioritizations, resource allocation, and cross-functional alignment. Be involved in business development and key metrics design and analysis, and make sure the overall strategy direction will be aligned with overall e-commerce business strategy.
2. Responsible to design effective project management and decision making mechanism for E-commerce Governance and Experience department, and for both globally and regionally.
3. Own the vision and roadmap to drive organization across regions knowledge transfer and culture enablement program.
4. Be involved into high level business direction discussion, and responsible of regular reports toward C-suits and represent overall Governance and Experience organization.
5. Diagnose Governance and Experience business directional problems though holistic data analysis and benchmark study of industry in global key markets, and drive toward solution and directional optimization.
6. Design team organization structure and roles and responsibilities, cultivate and expand the Business Planning and Engagement team for global key markets.
7. Provide mentorship and guidance to key leaders to help them build successful teams and identify strong pipelines of talents within teams to ensure room for career growth as well as succession completeness for key positions.
Qualifications
1. Deep understanding of e-commerce, especially about e-commerce platform governance or customer experience enhancement domain.
2. Experience to work in global organization, able to understand and handle global communication and global team development.
3. At least 5 years of people management experience in managing multi-cultural/multi-region teams with a size of 20 or more.
4. Experience in management consulting or business strategy, or MBA degree will be a plus.
5. Excellent strategic thinking ability; able to make sound decisions under ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
6. Effective data analysis skills and comfortable using data and metrics to measure impact and determine priorities.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively liaise with people at all levels.
