This role, while in Singapore, will lead the development of a process to track and respond to specifications in Polerian working with the team in Europe. This role will lead quotes in Asia and lead process improvement initiatives.Responsible for all technical aspects of a quote response and is the primary technical interface to the customer from the start of the quote process through program kick off.This role leads the engineering effort required to understand the customer requirements, develop a product solution to meet the requirements, and assimilate the costs and effort associated with the product development.This role will coordinate across Electrical Electronics, eMotor, and Gearbox component groups as well as various engineering and sales competencies in order to develop the required solution and costs which will enable a quotation to be developed.Serve as the central technical interface to customersLead the global quote team to develop technical solutions for customer quotesBreak down specifications into sub-system requirements and assign to appropriate teams to reviewWork with Sales and the Quote Manager to develop quote timing.Ensure engineering tasks across the organization are completed on time for the quoteLead reviews of the system requirements, architecture, and integrationLead the quote team to generate Bill of Material (BOM), ED&D costs, and timing planCommunicate changes to the quote teamPerform on-going risk management for the projectRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a preferred focus on electric drive systems; power electronics and/or motorsMasters or PhD in Engineering preferred8+ Years of experience in power electronics controller, software and functional safety requirements & developmentAutomotive experience is requiredWide engineering background with experience in complex systems with mechatronics, electrical machines, power electronics and software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is requiredSkills in other languages is an advantageAbility to travel at least 20% is requiredMust be comfortable working multiple programs in a fast-paced work environmentMust be comfortable working on a global teamGood at coaching people and fostering a team approach;previous supervisory/management experience preferredPreferred experience with drivetrains of hybrid-electric of full-electric vehiclesUnderstanding of power electronics, motor characterization, integration, and validation requirements and processes.Preferred experience with ASPICE, functional safety, and cyber security standardsSkills in other languages is an advantage
