Job Description


Job Purpose

Drives opportunities to gather external and internal insights to shape our understanding of customer needs and evidence generation gaps for this asset and for broader respiratory.

Translates current and emerging evidence into content of value for internal and external audiences

Collaborates with key cross-functional stakeholders to help design, shape and execute the medical affairs and brand strategy for the concerned asset.

Develops a strong network with external global experts and global / regional associations Respiratory.

Drives excellence in external engagement, scientific communication, launch and life cycle maintenance strategy.

Gets trained on ABPI and relevant GSK code and delivers in compliance to local SOPs, guidance and governance policies.

Responsibilities

Partners with above-country and country colleagues to drive, integrate and prioritise insights to co-develop the global medical affairs plans, life cycle management plan and brand strategy for this asset..

Engages with cross functional colleagues from global commercial, regional / country medical, Value Evidence Outcome (VEO), clinops and other discipline to identify and build the integrated evidence generation plan and support delivery and execution of the same.

Ensures country medical affairs colleagues have a robust knowledge of the relevant and emerging new evidence, supporting their training by creating high quality scientific engagement materials for both internal and external use.

Leads co-creation, review and approval of Promotional and Medical content with the Commercial partner in priority markets based on the Medical plan and brand plan with a co-creation mindset.

Partners with commercial colleagues to develop brand campaigns and support launches and other activities in key markets followed by excellent execution or implementation for their respective brands/TA.

Partners with key countries to help implement scientific communication strategy and launches, including reviewing and optimising local medical affairs plans and sharing learning/ best practice/ intelligence.

Drives excellence in external engagement with key stakeholders (e.g. HCP\xe2\x80\x99s, Patients, Payors and Regulators) globally and in partnership with key countries.

Ensures appropriate medical governance oversight of all deliverables.

Reviewing local GSK-sponsored and Investigator Sponsored Study (ISS) proposals to assess their scientific merit and strategic need.

Develops deep subject matter expertise on the product and therapy area

Why you?

Minimum MD (Doctor of Medicine) background.

Min 8 years of local and regional experience in medical affairs and medical affairs strategic leadership

Medical affairs experience in chronic diseases and respiratory

ABPI signatory would be an advantage

Robust understanding of internal (where applicable) and external promotional codes of practice and regulations

Demonstrated matrix leadership in previous roles and leadership of complex projects
