The primary goal of this position is to oversee the strategic management of the global product portfolio, including aligning stakeholder discussions, managing the product life cycle and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
:
To facilitate discussion with stakeholders to come to a globally aligned product portfolio
To manage product life cycle, including product and raw material harmonization
To coordinate sample supply in line with strategic portfolio targets
To analyze product costs of the portfolio and trigger issues with Marketing
To provide input into Research & Development and Innovation project discussions as member of the core team
To evaluate effect on other customers for customization requests of existing products, approve recipe adaptations accordingly, prepare customer communication
To evaluate / challenge the business case for New Product Requests (gatekeeper)
To coordinate Request-to-Market process for approved New Product Requests
Be a sparring partner for technology on target costing of new developments
To provide business case for product registration based on planned volume per country
To provide input into industry approval process with respect to product portfolio targets
To facilitate exchange on raw material risk management topics and provide input
To support Product Stewardship Services on compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements
To classify raw materials for development based on expected raw material price stability and long-term availability, expected registration costs and sustainability aspects
To provide strategic input from the market for manufacturing decisions made by operations, including tolling and localization options
To provide tools to make the aligned global FOCUS product portfolio transparent and established as a "single-point of truth"
To ensure product-related data, including customer approval data, is maintained centrally and digitally available for various output tools and products
To manage product brands and naming (approvals, registration)
To provide input into customer approval process, upon request of Global Key Acccount Management (GKAM) or Sales / Marketing for those accounts where no GKAM exists
To align cross-segment product-related regulatory topics (early warnings, management of change, e.g., on labelling) with Marketing and communicate to the Sales teams
To provide support for development of product line trainings
Requirements
:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is required
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a global, cross-functional environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with various teams globally. Strong analytical skills for cost analysis, risk assessment, and business case evaluation. Proficiency in project management tools and data management systems.
Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an added advantage
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation, and a customer-oriented approach
Work location: this role may be based in Singapore or China
