Job Description

The Opportunity:Our client, a prominent Japanese Automotive Manufacturer with a global presence, is seeking a Global Shipping Admin to join their Global Trading Operations Department. Situated in the heart of Singapore, the selected candidate will be an integral member of the Singapore office, supporting freight coordination and annual tender activities.

• Promenade MRT
• Gross monthly up to $3,900 + completion bonus
• Mon-Fri 9AM-6PM (with 1 day WFH and flexible arrangement)

The Job:Freight Management

• Observe and liaise with carriers for freight rates quotes and ensure competitive pricing and optimal transportation solutions.
• Maintain strong rapport with carriers and negotiate for the best terms to optimize cost savings and service quality.
• Take part in annual tender

Internal/External Relations

• Maintain strong communication and relationship with both internal and external parties.
• Ensure that bidding fulfils users\' requirements.

Payment/Billing

• Ensure accuracy in weekly payment and monthly closing.

System Support

• Liaise with IT department for Global Bidding System modifications and support when required.

Reporting

• Preparation and presentation of reports/market insights using data analysis and identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

The Talent:

• Min. Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any other related field.
• Min. 1-2 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain management (with strong understanding in freight).
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge in INCO terms.
• Familiarity with SAP or any other ERP systems.
