A Hostess is responsible for make the guest feel at home by extending a warm welcome, assisting the guests to sit and later give them a warm send off. To assist in all ways to provide the highest degree of guest satisfaction.

What will I be doing?

As Conrad Centennial, Golden Peony Hostess, you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel\'s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs

- Cultivates guest relations and rapport

- Seat guests and manage the seating chart

- Co-ordinate table allocations with the outlet team

- Manage and co-ordinating reservations, special guest request and keeping them up-to-date

- Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates and cards

- Ascertain guest satisfaction and work to resolve any guest issues or concerns, enlisting the assistance of a supervisor, if necessary

- To assist in outlet administrative duties

- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow

- Perform opening and closing duties, as needed

- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.

- Ensure knowledge of menu and promotions

- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

- Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships

- Able to handle phone/email inquiry in a timely manner

- In-charge of the menu printing

- Able to serve food and beverage based on company standard

- Maintain high level of hygiene standard

- Able to handle various reservation systems

- Able to manage online takeaway orders

- To perform any other duties as assigned by immediate superiors

- Provide solutions to guests over phone calls and Emails

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

- Experience in Food & Beverage department and/or industry

- Previous experience of cash handling

- Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
