As a Marketing Business Unit Graduate you will collaborate within the Marketing Digital team within the Digital Hive, utilizing data and analytics to address tangible business challenges in commodity trading.

Play a pivotal role in shaping the Digital Hive\'s Digital Solution Roadmap for the commodity desks, providing them with data-driven decision support tools to enhance their ability to optimize commercial performance.

Performance & Delivery

• Develop, enhance, and maintain data analytics models under supervision of Senior Data Scientists. The models include optimization models, predictive models and new technologies in data, AI, machine learning.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, data engineers and subject matter experts to design and develop specific digital solutions and products.
• Explore external industry, research competition, commercial and digital trends that can impact Anglo American including identifying new digital technologies and potential applications and innovative ways of working.
• Research new external digital practices and technologies, choose the ones that would be beneficial for Anglo American Marketing.
• Work with the Marketing BU to identify potential value creating digital opportunities.
• Apply approaches such as Agile, Design Thinking, Improving Customer Experience which are key for the success of Digital Hive

Compliance

• Adherence to all Anglo American Group and Marketing policies and procedures, as well as observing proper standards of conduct relating to the role.
• Comply with Anglo American Security and Operating Standards.

Qualifications

• Master\'s Degree required in a quantitative related area, e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or Data Science, is preferred. PhD candidates in a similar discipline are also encouraged to apply.
• Fluent in programming with Python or other similar language.
• Good understanding of digital technologies such as AI, machine learning and their applications. Understand the results of these models, analyse deviations and propose solutions to refine the models and able to explain in business context.
• Good knowledge about operations research, statistics, mathematical modelling, machine learning and deep learning.
• Understanding of commodities covering trading, operations, risk management and financial accounting is a plus.
• Have completed your degree or are due to graduate by December 2023.
• Have no more than two years of relevant work experience.
• Singapore based candidates are encouraged to apply.
