JOB DESCRIPTION

• Improve work safety and work quality
• Ensure proper control and utilization of material resources in the section
• Ensure all welding procedures are complied with
• Resolve site installation issues
• Supervise all pipe spool installation as well as testing and coordination of stress relief of piping
• Take charge of testing and assist commissioning of system
• Coordinate flushing and pipe insulation work as well as bolt torqueing and special processes
• Replenish welding consumables and goods for the welding process in shop and out on-site
• Conduct vendors inspection before and after welding
• Review the production work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Coordinate and build good rapport with both internal and external customers (vendors, surveyors and clients)
• Responsible for efficient administration, supervision and management of his workforce:

• Look after the welfare of his workers
• Ensure the discipline of his workers
• Ensure the safety of his workers
• Deploy and utilize manpower effectively

• Carry out tasking of work to his subordinates
• Control and manage the subcontractor and their workers
• Manage the career development and training of personnel
• Arrange inspections with third party (surveyors or customers)

• Degree / Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine and Offshore / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 1 (Motorship), or its equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience for diploma holders, and 3 years of relevant experience for degree holders for Senior Engineer position.
