Description
- Create interactive graphics as standalone content or support element
- Work with editors to conceptualise and execute interactive graphics
- Ensure graphics have the right look and feel that would magnify newsroom branding
- Able to process sets of data and recommend ways in which you can use the information to tell a visual story
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Bachelor of Science/ Arts/ Engineering in Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Communication Design or any other relevant field of study.
- 3+ years\' experience in data visualisation, information design and/or interactive graphics and with experience in front-end development.
- Experience with UX best practices and a good understanding of data-first responsive design.
- Must be able to write clean front-end HTML/CSS/jQuery
- Has working experience on web visualization tools such as D3.js, Mapbox
- Working knowledge in writing scripts in Python, PHP, JavaScript
- Familiar with common data APIs
- Proficient in designing and optimising for mobile (iOS and Android) and native app and web platforms.
- Excellent visual design skills, including a clear grasp of typography, layout, colour, motion and behaviour.
- Must be a self-starter; able to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Online portfolio with a range of interactive samples.
