The Consumer Maps team is at the heart of the Grab user experience. We develop the map-based services that millions of people across Southeast Asia rely on every day to navigate, book rides, and order essentials. As a member of our team, you'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and other engineers to solve complex challenges at scale.
Get to Know the Role
This is a 6 months full-time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the .
As a Software Engineer Trainee, you will play an important role in our development cycle. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of features for our consumer-facing map products. This is a unique chance to work on high-impact projects, learn from experienced engineers, and see your code make a real difference for our users.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will develop and maintain internal web applications.
• You will design and implement user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern frameworks like React & Next.
• You will build and integrate with backend APIs and services.
• You will work with databases and other data storage systems.
• You will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective web-based solutions.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React).
• Some exposure to backend development concepts and a language like Node.js, Python, or Go.
• You have experience with building user-centric web applications and tools.
• You are familiar with AI tools.
