• Our client is a well established and reputable global fintech unicorn with a strong global presence. They are currently looking for someone who is experienced and strong in Group Consolidation & Reporting (VP level) to join their ever growing team and be responsible for driving reporting deliverables relating to the consolidated financial statements

Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Reporting, your key responsibilities would include:

• Setting up and leading the Group Reporting and consolidation team

• Responsible in setting up Group Reporting process, timelines and deliverables on a group level

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as other reporting deliverables to the management

• Drive analytics on monthly consolidated financial statements for the Group, ensuring consolidation financial statements are true and fair and in accordance with US GAAP

• Review monthly financial statements submitted by BU finance to ensure their accuracy and timeliness

• Drive monthly cadences (pre-close/closing/post close) for responsible BU with BU Finance and other relevant stakeholders, e.g. Legal/Tax/Procurement

• Drive standardization of accounting treatment across the Group

• Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to BU finance and provide training and guidance as necessary

• Focal point for communication with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure alignment with company accounting policies, accounting disclosures and issues

• Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements

• Drive rigorous balance sheet review and reconciliation process with BU finance in ensuring the Group financial statements are true and fair

Profile

To succeed in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or relevant disciplines

• At least 12 years of both audit and commercial working experience in group consolidation & reporting

• Strong ability to lead a team and set up new consolidation and reporting frameworks and procedures at a group level

• Well versed with high level of consolidation and reporting at a group level for a listed company

• Experience in various accounting treatments and accounting risks

• Strong knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS

• Knowledge in US SEC regulations and other external reporting requirements for a listed company would be an added advantage

• Experience with a fintech, ecommerce or tech industry would be an added advantage
