Their proprietary technology enables long-range, energy-efficient communication between IoT devices and the cloud. They are currently looking for a Regional Finance Controller with strong technical expertise in finance and consolidation and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

The company is expanding quickly across the markets they have an outreach in, and while Singapore is the Global headquarters, they have regional offices in Europe and parts of APAC.

Description

The Group Finance Controller will play a crucial role in the financial management and consolidation activities of company. The Group Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation of entities and compliance of the company\'s global financial operations. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within and outside of Singapore to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, provide strategic insights, and support the company\'s growth objectives. This role will report directly to the Global CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess past experiences with ESOP/RSUs/Employee Stock Options, convertible note funding and acquisition accounting.
  • Financial Consolidation: Lead and manage the financial consolidation process for the company\'s global operations including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Lead and manage the accounting team.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with business units and departments to prepare and consolidate annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Provide guidance on financial targets, assumptions, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards, and statutory regulations. Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and promote financial discipline.
  • Strategic Financial Insights: Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support decision-making processes. Assess financial risks and opportunities, identify areas for improvement, and propose recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies. Communicate financial results, insights, and recommendations effectively and build strong relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, encourage professional development, and ensure adequate resources and training are provided.
Profile
  • Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, and at least 5 years of experience within a Group Finance Management position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and consolidation techniques.
  • Understand and analyze complex financial information, identify trends, and provide strategic insights.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, consolidation software, and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of local and regional accounting regulations and standards.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance, and managing audits.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues, drive process improvements, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proven track record of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing business needs.
  • People management experience within smaller teams, and able to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
