Job Description


Role Responsibilities

Short Term Assignment : Role exists only for 6 months.

This role is a for CMPS Group for driving the governance and product development (structured products).

  • Strategy
  • Identifying new product ideas together with local SP heads
  • Working closely with the Digital Solution team to articulate the business development strategy & platform/digital strategy
Business
  • Onboarding of new payoffs (getting approval from the top management / Compliance / Risk)
  • Onboarding of new counterparties
  • Trade approval
  • Preparation of the morning meeting decks
  • Assisting the Global Product Head is leading business development projects (starting SPs in new location/segment, changing the business model\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Representing the Global Product Head when needed in senior level meeting
Processes
  • Maintenance of SP-related infrastructure
  • Improving business monitoring tools/processes
  • Monitoring of existing counterparties & ongoing requests (KYD, documentation)
People & Talent
  • Be able to build a trust relationship across departments and functions, at various levels (from support teams to top management)
  • Be able to think strategically, lead projects and work with a high degree of autonomy
Risk Management
  • Identify and share industry best practices
  • Identity weakness in existing processes and suggest sustainable solution
Governance
  • Ongoing improvement of the governance framework
  • Accountable for satisfactory closure of issues / gaps arising from Internal Audits, peer reviews and regulatory reviews for the areas of work.

  • Adherence to Group Policy and Code of conduct always.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the
. * Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the governance of SPs at a global level to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders
  • Internal Stakeholders: Local Product Heads, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Digital Solution team
  • External Stakeholders: external counterparties
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group\xe2\x80\x99s brand and values in CMPS Group team (SP& FI); Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats)
  • The candidate is expected to support the FI component of the SP&FI team (i.e. being a reliable back up whenever it is needed)
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Finance or related topic.
  • 4 + Years in Banking or Capital Markets.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft tools PowerPoint / excel.
  • Have experience in Fixed Income or structured products .
  • Experience in product management.
