Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a GTRF Sales Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Grow the global trade and receivable finance (GTRF) business through New To Bank and New to Trade clients within the business banking (BB) client segment
  • Assess opportunities within the marketplace, and develop growth strategies which match our GTRF offerings against client specific needs
  • Ability to execute our GTRF strategy by capturing revenue through effective closure of pipeline deals and deepening BAU business. This also includes responsibility for offering innovative STF solutions, ensuring meeting hurdle returns, cross selling the full range of GTRF services, and effecting any other initiatives required by the Group
  • Deliver high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customers or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards
  • Support development, direction and delivery of strategic initiatives through detailed call reports, meetings attended, monitoring and management of deal pipelines and the quality of solutions and presentations made
  • Drive best practices in lending and risk policies ensuring our trade offerings remains within the Bank\'s stated risk appetite
  • Drive digitisation, innovation and structured solutions on the forefront of the trade finance industry to maintain and increase our market leading position
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
  • Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC\'s diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of a management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision-making at all levels
Requirements
  • University degree holder
  • Good knowledge of the trade finance and commercial banking industry in Singapore
  • Significant solution providing and structuring experience with strong grasp of trade finance and structured trade finance knowledge in the market
