Job Title : Guidewire Consultant / Guidewire Developer / Guidewire Architect

Location : Singapore

Role Summary

We are seeking a Guidewire specialist (functional / technical / techno-functional) to work on implementation / enhancement / support of Guidewire applications for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance. The candidate will be part of the team that configures, customizes, integrates, and supports core insurance operations (policy admin, claims management, billing etc.), ensuring the system meets business needs, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyse business requirements in the insurance domain (Policy, Claims, Billing etc.), and map them to Guidewire's product capabilities. Configure Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) according to business rules, workflows, UI forms, data models, and system rules. Customize extensions/plugins as needed: rating engines, validation rules, event handlers, batch jobs. Build and maintain integrations between Guidewire and external systems (APIs, middleware, web services, message queues). Involvement in data migration / data conversion efforts from legacy systems into Guidewire, including data mapping, cleansing, reconciliation. Write Gosu/Java code (where applicable) to implement complex business logic or custom features. Develop and execute unit tests, integration testing, performance testing, and support UAT with business users. Debug issues, troubleshoot production bugs, perform root cause analysis. Support performance & stability enhancements, optimize Guidewire configuration for scalability. Keep up-to-date with Guidewire product releases, patches, cloud offerings, and help drive adoption of best practices. Prepare technical documentation, design artifacts, operational runbooks. Work closely with cross-functional teams: business analysts, QA / test teams, infrastructure / DevOps, product management.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field. Strong experience in Guidewire product suite: minimum some exposure to at least one of PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter. Good understanding of P&C insurance domain: underwriting, policy lifecycle, claims, billing, renewals, endorsements etc. Proficiency in Gosu, Guidewire rules framework, evaluations, workflows. Experience with integrations (REST / SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, web services), data mapping. Strong proficiency in SQL (for querying Guidewire database, data validation, migration etc.). Experience in data migration, data cleansing, reconciliation. Experience with implementing or customizing business rules, rating engines etc. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology. Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, attention to detail. Good written & verbal communication skills; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Certification(s) in Guidewire (if available). Experience working with Guidewire Cloud / SaaS deployment. Experience in Singapore / APAC insurance regulatory environment. Experience with performance optimisation, capacity planning. Experience working with DevOps / CI/CD for Guidewire deployments. Knowledge of front-end technologies (if UI customisations are needed).
