Handyman - All around maintenance employeeFor more than 40 years, the Lycee Franaais de Manille (LFM) has been promoting French academic excellence among expatriate and Filipino children. In collaboration with the German International School of Manila (GESM), the LFM is located on the green and large Eurocampus in Paraaaque, offering its students high level facilities in a multicultural environment - 500 students, 100 employees, more than 30 nationalities.The LFM is a member of the AEFE network, its teaching programs meet the guidelines and academic requirements of the French Ministry of Education.LetaEUR(TM)s join us and contribute to maintain good quality environment to our students !Your main missions and roles & responsibilities: As handyman - all around maintenance employee, you are responsible for ensuring the comprehensive and efficient use of the LFM facilities by rendering all around maintenance services. You are responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the School, ensuring that facilities and equipments in the organization are in good shape at all times.You conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment, identify the preventive maintenance program and actions and implement them.You ensure all maintenance and repair work or, if the work is too significant, you oversee the contractor in charge of the work in the following fields- Electricity- Plumbing- Painting- Locksmithing- CarpentryYou ensure that Maynilad and deep well are in good conditions.You are responsible for monitoring maintenance work carried out by external contractors (particularly on alarm systems, fire safety, air conditioning, etc. ....)When performing your duties, you will ensure that safety and energy saving rules are properly applied.Having a global overview of maintenance needs, you will assist in procurement of various maintenance materials and components needed.When it comes to the maintenance of the common Eurocampus infrastructure, you will work in close collaboration with your counterpart from the German School.Of course, you may perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time as per need and request of the management, and will be required to regularly report on your activity.Working schedule: - Monday to Friday, with work on Saturday as per need when some maintenance activities cannot be performed when students are on site- 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day- Starting at 6h30 with one hour lunch breakYour required skills to be successful in the position: - Ability to easily communicate in English and Tagalog- Ability to follow instructions while being proactive- Ability to read blueprints, part catalogs and manuals as necessary- Ability to use manual and power maintenance tools and machineries- Basic MS Office knowledge for reporting- Professional attitude and eager to do good quality work- Reactivity and autonomy- Flexibility- Organization and multitasking- Confidentiality and discretionYour requited diploma and professional background: - At least High School graduated, with additional Vocational Diploma, or Tesda electrical degree, or BacheloraEUR(TM)s/ College Degree in any electrical area- At least 3 years of working experience in technical maintenance/repair activity covering wide range of technical areasJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term
