Key job responsibilities Amazon Prime Video is looking for a results-oriented, creative, and digitally savvy senior marketer to lead the central regional marketing charter for Prime Video in the APAC region, based out of Singapore. The role will help further our marketing priorities across the region (India, Southeast Asia and Japan) by both enhancing the planning and locale execution of our Worldwide priorities and also by championing locale needs with Worldwide teams. Specifically, the role will own and be expected to deliver bar-raising results across improving Prime Video brand perception, imagery, and consideration in the region by both extending Worldwide playbooks/campaigns and also helping create regional/locale-specific plans, own planning and strategy of key Global Originals launching in the APAC region, and deliver efficiency and economies of scale across specific parts of marketing.
1. Strengthen Prime Video brand in APAC: Responsible for working with Worldwide Brand teams and defining a globally consistent and locally relevant brand architecture and identity toolkit. Work with Worldwide and locale teams and developing globally coordinated brand campaigns with varying levels of localization (local scripts, casting, packaging, etc.) where needed. The role will be accountable for the performance of the brand in the region. Assist locales in budget planning to support development and deployment of global campaigns, pre-campaign research and post-launch measurement of campaign outcomes, brand health monitoring, reporting and deep-dives as needed.
2. Global Tentpole Marketing: Responsible for content research to identify scope, potential, and core TG for each global tentpole/PT title in each locale, ensuring talent asks of time/participation in events, social media involvement, media interactions, of each locale are presented and secured from Worldwide Franchise teams. The role will be accountable for the performance of the Global Originals in the region (across locales). Act as primary POC and championing OHC (Out-of-Home-Country) support needs for Local Originals from within the region with Worldwide teams and other regions accountable for OHC goals for key Local Originals from the region. Plan and coordinate with locale marketing teams OHC support needed in region for Originals from other regions. Accountable for OHC performance of Worldwide OHC titles in the region. Assist locales in budget allocation for each locale to support content testing, media, local creative development (if needed), influencer/social media marketing, partnerships, PR and activations. Marketing asset localization for each locale working with Worldwide Creative & Production Ops team and the regional marketing team will act as the central point of assessing needs and ensuring delivery for the same.
3. Variable Marketing Automation & Scale: Responsible for owning, operating and delivering results for each locale across variable marketing channels of paid search marketing, mobile app marketing (Google UAC), affiliates, performance-based social media marketing, to name a few. Improving discoverability of PV catalog across external search via search-engine optimization and automation. This leader will also be expected to own automation of these variable marketing channels (working with multiple, relevant Worldwide teams) to deliver scalability and efficiency. Own KPIs on free search-led traffic and High Value Actions. Build/expand plan optimization algorithms across external and on-site touchpoints. Ad-network based mobile app marketing campaigns will continue to be managed locally. Assist locales in Strengthening bidding, placement, creative optimization automation of performance advertising, working with Worldwide teams.
4. Owned & Operated marketing: Responsible for championing region/locale needs with Worldwide CX/Product, Tech teams to improve discoverability, offer/tier clarity, playback experience across devices, and signup/renewal flows. Refine (build where needed) dashboards and reporting to provide clear, actionable insights into heath of the PV streamer/Prime member balance by locale and cohorts within. Assist locales in helping get their automation needs onto Worldwide Product roadmaps across outbound marketing, real-time notifications, on-site notification management, automated CX flows to drive winbacks, stacking, upgrades and retention via initiatives like Value Savings communication and membership management. The regional marketing leader will also be central in assisting locale teams work with Worldwide PV and Prime teams and delivering CX solutions to help with key initiatives such as cross-benefit discovery, streamer-to-shopper, automated early activation, retention and lifecycle management to name a few.
The candidate should have extensive experience across a wide span of marketing disciplines including brand and customer marketing as well as meaningful experience in the consumer internet space. This role is deeply cross-functional requiring a very high level of leadership by influence. Success in this role requires having the big picture, being comfortable with high ambiguity, defining ambitious plans and goals, building programs and processes to scale, and operating daily at the highest level.
