Lead, develop and support research practices and collaborative research projects in arts education 3. Propose annual research targets in the area of arts education and devise plans to achieve the targets 4. Draw up and propose annual budget for arts education research 5. Co-develop and co-manage annual research assessment process 6. Work with relevant colleagues to design, implement and promote faculty development in arts education research 7. Participate or lead academic committees or taskforces for continuous improvement 8. Undertake 6 - 10 contact/teaching hours per week during term time 9. Perform other duties as assigned by Vice President / Acting Director, Research Division Requirements 1. Minimum qualification of Masters in Arts Education or related 2. A track record for research in arts education which can include publications, exhibitions, performances or a body of creative works 3. Minimum 10 years of teaching and relevant working experience in the arts education sector 4. Wide range of local and international contacts and networks in the field of arts education 5. Experience in leading research initiatives, including managing personnel and budgets 6. Experience in securing research funding is an advantage 7. Strong ability to motivate and mentor staff and colleagues, guiding them towards excellence in their job performance 8. Demonstrate understanding, appreciation and passion for the arts with a strong interest in nurturing the artistically talented 9. Excellent command of written and spoken English 10. A team player with good interpersonal skills
