Head Barista

to join our opening team to lead the coffee program, from menu design to team development and beverage innovation.

Role Overview

The Head Barista will drive all aspects of our coffee bar, overseeing quality control, staff training, seasonal R&D, and guest experience. This role is perfect for someone passionate about crafting inventive coffee and matcha beverages, building SOPs, and creating a program that stands out in the CBD.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily coffee operations, ensuring consistent quality and service speed Create and manage beverage menus, including espresso, matcha, and seasonal drinks Conduct R&D for new coffee and tea-based beverages tailored to our brand Develop and enforce SOPs for espresso extraction, milk texturing, and beverage assembly Train and mentor baristas on technique, workflow, and customer engagement Maintain and calibrate equipment; troubleshoot as needed Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier coordination for the coffee bar Stay up to date on coffee, matcha, and cafe beverage trends

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role Proven track record in designing signature coffee and matcha-based beverages Strong technical skills in espresso, milk, filter methods, and cold beverages Experienced in creating SOPs and training junior staff Passionate about customer experience, team culture, and beverage creativity Knowledge of equipment maintenance and bar setup workflows Flexible with shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,500.00 per month
