What the role is:The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and also the Singapore public sector\'s first Science and Technology agency that works at the forefront of science and technology to amplify, augment and accelerate the Home Team\'s advantage and secure Singapore\'s frontline of security. HTX integrates a diverse range of scientific and engineering capabilities to innovate and deliver transformative and operationally ready solutions for homeland security. The successful job holder will work with the Deputy Director of the Central Procurement Officer (CPO), HTX in managing the procurement function for goods and services and maintaining high standards of procurement performance across all Home Team Departments as well as HTX.What we are looking for:-Possess a degree preferably with at least 8 years of relevant experience in areas of procurement ranging from acquisition of services, strategic sourcing, integrated workforce and public private partnership, preferably in the Public Sector. -Excellent knowledge of procurement strategies, procedures, standards and guidelines specified in the Government Instruction Manual on Procurement, Finance Circulars and existing rules and regulations. -Good knowledge of strategic sourcing, project management and demand aggregation activities. -Keen interest in developing knowledge and enhancing competency in the respective teams. -Able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment and manage workload well. -Strong analytical and communication skills -Must be able to work well in a team. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
