Job Title: Head Chef

Reports to: General Manager

Job Overview: The Head Chef is responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen staff management. The Head Chef will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, and that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staffing.

• Oversee and manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

• Develop and implement standard recipes and menu items, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.

• Manage food costs and inventory, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.

• Collaborate with the General Manager and other staff to develop and implement marketing strategies and promotions.

• Keep up to date with industry trends and new cooking techniques, and incorporate these into the menu.
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Proven ability to manage a high-volume kitchen and lead a team of kitchen staff.

• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
