Job Description

Job PurposeTo oversee bus operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional transportation services to commuters in Singapore. The role involves managing Operations Support Teams and coordinate resources for daily operations.Responsibilities

• Lead a team of depot staff and be responsible for depot garaging, vehicle readiness, dispatching, rostering, and service control operations.
• Coordinate with the Bus Workshop and scheduling team to manage a fleet of buses to optimise bus assets and duties for operational efficiency and maximise revenue service.
• Coach and develop frontline staff, including Bus Captain, to enhance their productivity, safety driving habits and positive customer service.
• Coordinate with the facility team to ensure facilities and amenities within Bus Depots and Interchanges are well-maintained and upgraded as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and improve work environment using Kaizen Methodology.
• Working location: North, NorthWest and West part of Singapore

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing bus operations, with a track record of achieving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in public transportation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

• Strong leadership skills to lead teams in a dynamic operational environment, overseeing office staff, Bus Captains, and frontline teams.
• Operations management skills to manage depot operations including garaging, maintenance, dispatching, rostering, and service control to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Resource Management skill to optimize bus fleet deployment, service levels, and operational efficiency while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Facilities Management skill to maintain and improve Bus Depot facilities and amenities to support operational needs.
• Coaching and Development experiences of mentoring staff to enhance skills and foster a positive work environment.
• Regulatory Knowledge of understanding of public transportation regulations and safety standards.
