What the role is:
The Home Team Science & Technology Agency (HTX) is the first of its kind Science and Technology (S&T) Agency in the world that brings together science and engineering capabilities across the Home Team Departments (HTDs) to transform the homeland security landscape and keep Singapore safe. The job holder will be working on Automation Solutions, playing a key role in the development and implementation of transformation initiatives based on Operational Technology (OT) automation solutions to support the Central Narcotics Bureau and Singapore Prison Service as well as other HTDs. Candidates with suitable middle management experience may be considered for the Head role to lead a team of engineers/scientists and be responsible for the coherent and timely delivery of the S&T projects under his/her charge as well as the systems' capability sustenance.
What you will be working on:
The jobholder will be: xc2xb7 Collaborating with diverse stakeholders including internal HTX stakeholders, HTDs and other external stakeholders across areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, forensics, Information-Communication Technologies (ICT), cybersecurity, etc xc2xb7 Developing and integrating suitable S&T solutions for projects to implement capabilities for the HTDs, xc2xb7 Lead project management and execution for timely capability implementation as well as manage the system's capability sustenance. In addition, for the Head Role: xc2xb7 Overseeing a team of engineers/scientists and projects undertaken by the team for the development, implementation and sustenance of capabilities supporting HTDs. xc2xb7 Translating HTD's operational needs to a coherent capability development plan to address capability gaps and identify suitable technologies to support their capability build-up and transformation
What we are looking for:
xc2xb7 Good analytical, planning and project management skills; Minimum 6 years of project management experience in implementing Operational Technology (OT) or OT-ICT integration. xc2xb7 Ability to work independently and as a good team player; good interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills for both internal/ external engagement xc2xb7 Strong fundamentals and interest in science, technology and innovation; self-driven in keeping up with latest developments and willingness to challenge the norms xc2xb7 Tertiary qualification in Engineering / Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant disciplines required; candidates with deep expertise in the areas of robotics / automation, OT-ICT integration, drug detection should provide relevant references of past work in these areas for added consideration In addition, for the Head Role: xc2xb7 Proven team leadership abilities; 3-5 years of experience managing a team of engineers and technical officers, with ability to manage and mentor a team comprising at least 3 direct or indirect reports xc2xb7 Prior experience in master-planning, solutions architecting or equivalent high-level technology solutioning work would be considered advantageous. #LI-ZA1
