Head of APAC & SAMEA Science & Technology T&W - Your future role?
In this role, you will lead the S&T APAC and SAMEA team to grow together in the new strategy cycle to bring the best value to the business. You will be responsible for the S&T APAC and SAMEA teams in different locations. You will also be responsible for the global product category Commodity Replacement. You are required to support and lead global innovation projects and S&T activities in APAC and SAMEA.
You will be reporting to the Global Head of S&T T&W
Location: Woodlands, Singapore
Your main responsibilities includes:
Lead S&T for APAC & SAMEA:

• Define strategy for APAC/SAMEA within the scope of the global S&T organisation. Expand the scope & scale of the S&T organization in Singapore. Leverage the innovation ecosystem & available talent pool in order for the centre to facilitate the company growth through deployment of disruptive technology/ processes
• Lead the S&T APAC/SAMEA team to develop ingredients and technologies in close collaboration with global S&T and regional innovation teams and customers
• Continuously review and design the S&T structure to ensure the team is able to support and enable our new strategy cycle. Develop and grow talents in the team by building the winning culture mindset and providing clear vision and strategies.
• Closely work with commercial and innovation teams in APAC and SAMEA to identify innovation opportunities in the region.
• Lead new innovation projects directly or by the team to create significant global impact to benefit the business.
• Represent global S&T at customers promoting new collaboration opportunities as well as growth
• Build an ecosystem of partners (academic, startups, etc.) to address innovation and effectively collaborate with external partners to address all Givaudan T&W global needs

Lead global product category Commodity Replacement:

• Build Givaudan positioning, strategy and roadmap in the area of Commodity Replacement addressing key priorities starting from Coffee, Cocoa and Tea for global needs
• Innovation and Strategy Alignment: identify opportunities and promote innovation programmes providing the business case and initiating research projects with the Singapore S&T team and/or global teams
• Commercialization of New Products in the related platform to all regions in the field
• Manages the global product portfolio to ensure it is relevant, complete, competitive, differentiated, and profitable.
• Assess Market Dynamics and ensure product portfolio stays relevant. Promote and support Business Development initiative in the area and for all regions.
• Drives sales and margin results by collaborating with key stakeholders on strategically important activities.

Your professional profile:

• 15+ years industrial experience in the innovation areas for Bio, Chemical and Food Ingredients and Technologies
• Strong business and technical background in one of the following areas: Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science &Technology
• Advanced degree in above fields and in business is a plus
• Strong track of record in leadership roles
• Sound Business Acumen and high level of learning agility
• Strong technical knowledge on one of the following areas: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Food Science & Technology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills
• Self-motivated
