A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Head of Business Development (BD) for Asia Pacific, you will engage with BD professionals across the region to explore and secure business opportunities. You will develop and implement short-to-medium term strategies using the support of Business Areas (BA) and sub-regions to maximize business potential across the Siemens energy portfolio.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

\xc2\xb7 Drive business development activities (focused on lead & opportunity development) across sub-regions to meet hub specific targets.

\xc2\xb7 Develop cross-divisional opportunities with support from BD personnel in the region.

\xc2\xb7 Manage cross-hub resource deployment to maximize sales impact and actively manage Administrative Expenses) for pre-sales activities.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and manage KPIs for BD team to maintain a strong regional sales funnel - Develop KPIs for pre-acquisition phase to actively manage and drive a strong sales pipeline.

\xc2\xb7 Identify competency needs of BD team and develop training plans to strengthen the BD workforce across the SE portfolio and monitor the development of cross BA opportunities.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with Business Areas /IMBs (Independently Managed Businesses) to strengthen opportunity development in pre-acquisition phase - Encourage the BD team to actively involved the BAs in the pre-acquisition phase.

\xc2\xb7 Manage interface between Hub Market Development - Work with the hub market development team to understand the medium to long term strategy in the region and ensure alignment on BD strategies.

\xc2\xb7 Drive development of customer specific roadmaps with short-to-medium-term horizon and cross-divisional characteristics to increase opportunity generation.

\xc2\xb7 Periodically review opportunities with the BD team to understand the opportunity potential, roadblocks and review potential solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Manage early-stage business reviews with the hub management and advise BD team on a detailed action plan to develop potential leads, opportunities, and customer roadmaps.

\xc2\xb7 Share insights of the market across sub-region - trends and customer interests

What You Bring

\xc2\xb7 A background in engineering and ideally 10+ years of Sales and Business Development experience. A master\'s degree would be preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Strong sales experience in one or more of the business areas and strong experience in the pre-acquisition phase of the sales process

\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of the energy market and familiar with energy solutions, electrification, automation, and digitalization portfolio

\xc2\xb7 Experience in managing sales team is an advantage.

\xc2\xb7 Willingness to continuously improve the organization, confident handling of ad-hoc requests and as well as a respectful, value-based, and solution-oriented collaboration with other people.
