We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Corporate Offtake to lead our power offtake strategy and manage a high-performing team responsible for originating, structuring, and negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) across our renewable energy portfolio.
As a key member of the commercial leadership team, you will drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships with utilities and corporate buyers, and shape market-facing commercial strategies that support the successful financing and execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the PPA origination team, overseeing origination efforts for physical and virtual PPAs across utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects.
Develop and execute the company's offtake strategy aligned with portfolio development goals and market opportunities.
Manage key relationships with corporate offtakers, utilities, energy traders, aggregators, and large energy buyers.
Oversee commercial negotiations, structuring, and execution of PPA contracts to ensure economic viability and bankability.
Lead and mentor team members; set targets, support development, and ensure high performance.
Provide executive-level reporting on origination pipeline, deal status, and market intelligence to internal stakeholders and the board.
Collaborate closely with finance, legal, development, to align origination strategy.
Represent the company at industry events, in RFPs, and in direct negotiations to elevate brand visibility and build strategic partnerships.
Monitor regulatory developments, policy trends, and market signals to adapt origination strategy accordingly.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
8-12+ years of experience in renewable energy markets, energy trading, structured products, or project finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record leading origination teams and closing large-scale, complex PPA transactions.
Deep understanding of PPA structures (physical, virtual, sleeved) and associated commercial, legal, and financial considerations.
Strong market knowledge and network in the APAC region, in particular Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders and representing commercial strategy to internal and external audiences.
Relationships with large corporate buyers or utility offtakers.
