We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Credit Risk to lead the credit risk function for our securities business. This role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing the firm's credit risk framework, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in capital markets, counterparty credit risk, and regulatory requirements, ensuring robust credit risk management across all trading and investment activities.
Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's credit risk management framework, policies, and governance in alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
• Assess and manage counterparty, issuer, and settlement risk exposures related to securities trading, lending, and investment banking activities.
• Oversee credit assessments for clients, brokers, clearing members, and counterparties, including the assignment of internal credit ratings and exposure limits.
• Lead the due diligence and approval process for new counterparties and credit transactions, including complex or structured instruments.
• Monitor exposures on a daily basis, ensuring adherence to approved limits, and escalate breaches or potential concerns.
• Collaborate with front-office, legal, operations, and compliance teams to evaluate the credit risk implications of new products, trading strategies, and business initiatives.

You must:

• A bachelors degree in a reputable university
• At least 10 years of Credit Risk experience - ideally from Banking / Securities / Fintech / Capital Markets
• Familiar with Credit Risk tools and framework
• Ability to lead a lean team
