We are searching for the best talent for Head of Data and Insights APAC.
Purpose:
The Head of Data Insights & AI - APAC will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of the data insights and AI strategy across the MedTech APAC organization. This role has responsibilities for data-driven decision-making, commercial effectiveness, and digital transformation, leveraging advanced analytics platforms and AI (including generative AI) to enhance customer experiences, accelerate innovation, and ensure compliance with regional data regulations.
You will be responsible for:
Strategic Planning & Leadership

• Define and execute the APAC data insights and AI strategy aligned with global and regional business priorities.
• Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on data-driven opportunities and risks.
• Define a 3-year roadmap for data insights and AI, aligning enterprise priorities with regional business needs.
• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases for APAC.

Capability Development & Innovation

• Lead and manage a cross-border team focused on data insights and AI initiatives.
• Establish a robust analytics & insights framework and reusable AI framework for APAC.
• Drive adoption of advanced analytics, AI, and intelligent automation to unlock business value.
• Foster a data-driven culture through training, communication, and change management.

Business Enablement & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with technology leaders and business partners to convert data into actionable insights.
• Design and implement AI-driven solutions such as AI agents to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with BTLs and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver value through analytics and AI.

Technical Stewardship & Product Management

• Oversee the evaluation and deployment of generative AI solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Take product ownership for data insights & AI products and services, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Leverage out-of-the-box Dynamics capabilities and identify gaps requiring custom solutions.

Data Governance & Quality

• Partner with Data Governance and Data Management leads to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across all analytics platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, and IT teams to embed data insights into operational workflows and strategic planning.

People Leadership

• Lead, develop, and retain a diverse team of insights & AI professionals.
• Provide mentorship, career development, and performance management.
• Cultivate a culture of data-driven decision making, self-organizing & learning teams, and product management excellence.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, data, or AI roles, including 5+ years leading teams.
• Proven track record of delivering successful data insights and AI products that drive business value.
• Experience deploying AI and GenAI solutions.
• Strong understanding of regional data landscapes and regulatory requirements (e.g., PIPL, PDPA).
• Experience in end-to-end IT portfolio and budget management.
• Ability to understand business needs and execute on business strategy.
• Demonstrated experience navigating matrixed global/regional/market stakeholders.
• Strong technical knowledge to drive discussions in technical settings.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• People leadership skills with a commitment to continuous improvement and value creation.
• Expertise in analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), data engineering, and statistical modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical technology industry.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
• Certified in data science, AI, or related areas.
