We are currently representing an international data centre operator, known for its leading position globally and is actively seeking for a Head of Data Centre Operations for the APAC region, and will be seated in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Regional Operations Team during data center start-up, facilitating transition to on-site Operations Team.
- Plan and supervise activities for new data center transition, maintaining communication and collaboration.
- Identify construction-related activities affecting live data center and attend design review meetings to address operational concerns.
- Support Engineering team by providing input on inquiries requiring Operations input and sharing lessons learned.
- Onboard on-site Operations teams for new greenfield sites, develop functional site knowledge, and document risk register for transition.
- Support site acceptance through turnover walks, coordinate with internal and external customers during test and commissioning.
- Participate in turnover issue meetings, ensuring adherence to company\'s Global DC operation methodology.
- Maintain and update documentation in line with company\'s GDC operation standards and policies.
- Ensure new on-site Operations Team adheres to Global DC operation Policies, Standards, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with customers to meet required DC operation standards and ensure smooth onboarding of key customers.
- Manage service level and contractual requirements, providing strategic leadership for Regional DC Operations.
- Set regional maintenance standards, review and compare DC Operational Capex and Opex budgets across regions.
- Align in-country Engineering Policies, processes, and procedures, defining group-wide minimal Operations standards (MEP).
- Develop region-wide minimal operating standards, including:
Support alignment of OT and IT Security Policies with DC Ops Service Assurance.
Attend design review meetings to address operational concerns.
Support Region Change Management
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for engineering matters and develop frameworks for DC Operations, including:
Drive Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives and explore sustainable solutions with in-country DC Operations Heads.
Lead Global Problem Management.
Support customer-impacting incident review, recovery, and share case studies for lessons learned.
- Develop risk management and governance for group-wide operations, including:

Support Risk assessment and Management.
Lead Capacity Management.
- Develop region-wide operational performance data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
Collate Environmental, Social, and Governance related data points, recommending improvement opportunities with on-site DC Operations.
Prepare benchmarking across countries and sites, recommending improvement opportunities.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure continued compliance with global standards, including:
Drive technical certification programs such as TIA-942, Uptime, ISO 50001, ISO 14001, SS564, LEEDS, BCA-IMDA Green Mark for Data Centres, GBCI Greenship, etc.
- Conduct physical audits for all facilities annually, including:

Support external and internal site audits organized by DC Ops Audit and DC Ops Service Assurance.
Conduct an annual Capacity Management review.
- Perform any other duties or projects assigned by the Management.

Key Requirements:
- Possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or an equivalent qualification.
- Accumulate a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 10 years specifically in the Datacenter environment.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in providing strategic leadership, ensuring a controlled and structured approach to regional operations.
- Establish expertise in developing policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to align facility management programs and mitigate operational risks.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in building services and other critical infrastructure within data centers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in risk management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.
- Exhibit skills in project management, program management, contract management, and vendor management.
- Possess knowledge and experience in environmental, health, and safety management.
- Display a robust understanding and hands-on experience with Facility Management and DC Infrastructure Management Tools.
