We work with our colleagues to help shape and protect the company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation through strategic, proactive communications that engage, inform and inspire our colleagues and collaborators.POSITION SUMMARYAs the Head of Diagnostics Communications, APAC for Roche Diagnostics, you will be responsible for divisional, regional, external and internal communications that engage and inspire stakeholders and key audiences to drive healthcare-related conversations and dialogue as well as enhance and protect our reputation as Roche Diagnostics. You will be responsible for communication strategy and planning, aligning with divisional, regional and Group Communications leaders to identify key topics, and for measuring our effectiveness and bringing communications insights into the organisation. In addition, you will work with regional Value Streams and Chapters to help guide key policy, commercial and industry topics that translate business strategies in compelling messaging that engage and influence stakeholders, and strengthen our access narrative.This position partners closely with key leadership areas of enterprise-wide reach, forms trusted relationships and drives communication strategies with a long-term view on business needs and strategic, patient-centric business priorities.You build a strong communications network because you understand the crucial role that Communications plays when translating key business priorities into communication strategies and outcomes that shape and protect the reputation and positioning of our company. An important element is to reach key stakeholders through proactive, integrated, audience-focused and impact-oriented communication around healthcare and access to innovative diagnostics solutions.To deliver on this, you rely on effective teamwork and collaboration with the broader Communications and commercial teams, and work across the network to pull in expertise to achieve business objectives. You seize the unique opportunity to transform the way we work in Diagnostics Communications and contribute to the shared leadership responsibility of creating excellence in communications at Roche.You act as a trusted strategic partner to the Region Head and to other members of the APAC Enabling Team (ET), providing counsel on effective communication approaches and identifying the impact of external trends on our reputation. With a proven track record in brand building and integrated marcomms initiatives for key stakeholders, you and your team will be responsible for translating business priorities and divisional positioning into relevant messaging and comms strategies.Knowing how important a strong team is, you build and coach a diverse and motivated team coach and foster VACC leadership in support of business and Group Communications goals and ultimately our 10-year ambitions.You want to be a key player in transforming Diagnostics and a leader in a fast-paced, rapidly changing industry/environment and an agile setting excites you. You are convinced that skills and capabilities are as important as mindsets, behaviors and culture and you work to deliberately create an environment of curiosity and psychological safety for people to engage in that journey together with you.Your OpportunityProvide direction and leadership to the APAC Communications team to plan and deliver integrated communications strategies, communication planning, measurement and campaigns that engage and align stakeholders including employees, the public, media, government and customers across the region.Be the Communications Business Partner to the Head of APAC for Diagnostics and counsel on his/her leadership communication and external engagement including at industry forums. You are a trusted advisor and to provide this counsel it is essential for this person to possess a deep understanding of the Diagnostics/Healthcare business and wider environment and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, individuals and teams across Roche.Be an active member of the APAC Enabling Team (ET). Further, you are a member of the Diagnostics Communications Leadership Team and expected to contribute to strategy-development and decision-making for the wider Diagnostics Communications community.Align Communications strategy, goals, and objectives with overall business priorities basing plans on thorough audience and topic research to facilitate tailored message and content design, as well as targeted delivery to relevant audiences using paid, earned and owned media.Play a key role in supporting the Diagnostics Communications transformation: leverage synergies across the organisation to maximise resource utilisation and eliminate duplications, develop a shared purpose by aligning on key areas of focus, and ensure a collaborative way-of-working between individuals and/or teams.Translate business and access goals into relevant projects and initiatives supported by careful planning and concrete measurements, allowing Roche to be seen as a partner of choice by customers and non-governmental / funding partners.Develop integrated and holistic communications that help build, shape and protect the reputation and brand of Roche and Roche Diagnostics in alignment with Diagnostics and Group Communications.LeadershipBuild a motivated, enabled and empowered team that challenges the status quo, explores new ways of doing things and radically simplifies.Be a strategic sparring partner and coach for fostering VACC leadership and a leadership culture in line with the Roche leadership frame both across the business and Group Communications. Participate with other leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives. Drive change with proven ability to influence business leaders and Communications professionals to required outcomes.Who you arePossess Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Public/Government Affairs or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceDemonstrated and possess significant experience in strategic communications in a fast paced environment, comfortable working in a matrixed and multicultural environment12+ years of experience in communications and government or public affairs with direct responsibility for media relations, preferably gained in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics or related industry, or PR agency experience supporting healthcare clients.5+ years of people management experience is strongly preferred. Able to manage managers: can ensure the accomplishment of goals and targets through indirect leadership.Experience in a variety of communications disciplines: public affairs, media relations, issues management and product/market access communications.Possess outstanding strategic agility: thorough grasp of the healthcare/diagnostics industry and regularly applies such to create robust and innovative strategies.Have excellent change management skills and a proven track record of effectively driving organisational transformation, change and innovationHave excellent influencing and negotiation skills: consistently extract optimised business results through skillful collaboration with others and driving results through influence without authorityWho we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
