We are looking for an Executive Manager who is responsible for general and broad managerial tasks within the framework of Ericsson Group Policies and Directives. Securing borderless cooperation, capturing synergies and business opportunities as well as optimizing use of resources. To drive one Ericsson implementing market and product strategies securing profitable growth.You will report to SVP & Head of MA SE Asia Oceania & India. You will have an opportunity to work with several members of the Executive Team, key customers for the CU and respective global units and deliver impact across multiple parts of Ericsson.About this opportunityAs a strategic business partner to the Market Area head, you will work closely with leadership to shape and execute the Market Area strategy, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
We are now looking for a Head of Business Controller responsible for Market Area South East Asia and Oceania to proactively engage with and influence the management teams to reach long-term financial targets with the objective of building customer value for Ericsson. In this role, you will drive optimization and execution of the units strategic agenda, while working with adequate capital resource allocation, effective business modelling and linking operational to financial metrics. You should do this with a solid understanding of the customers, markets, and Ericsson solutions as well as the long-term overall direction of the unit.What you will do

  • Commit to decision forums with financial perspective.
  • Drive governance, compliance, and adherence on financial framework and business processes.
  • Influence performance improvements, linking operational improvements to financial metrics with a focus on efficiency in the Market Area.
  • Secure business performance in period end closing.
  • Constantly perform financial risk management.
  • Provide business partnering and advice that drives value creation.
  • Build business engagement where relevant.
  • Lead in developing a culture of ethics, compliance, and integrity.
  • Leverage digital transformation initiatives to drive financial and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement business frameworks considering customer and market maturity, regional and global geopolitical considerations.
  • Oversee sourcing and security functions, ensuring compliance in third-party management and managing critical events.
  • Drive strategic cost management and resource optimization, ensuring budget adherence and operational flexibility.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance talent management by fostering continuous learning, capability building, and career progression within the finance team.
  • Spearhead innovation in financial processes, integrating emerging technologies like AI and data analytics.
To be successful in the role you must have
  • Education: University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years experience from relevant position within Ericsson or relevant position at an external company giving the ability to act and perform the duties of the role Business Controller
  • High Integrity and Influencing Skills: Demonstrates honesty and strong ethical principles in all interactions. Able to effectively persuade and motivate others, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Very Good Accounting & Reporting Skills: Proficient in preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering insightful reports that aid decision-making.
  • Financial Acumen & Analysis Skills: Strong understanding of financial concepts and metrics, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Financial Modelling Knowledge: Experienced in building and utilizing financial models to forecast outcomes, assess scenarios, and support strategic planning.
  • Capable of Adapting & Responding to Change: Demonstrates flexibility in the face of evolving business environments, maintaining core values while effectively managing new challenges and opportunities.
  • Deciding & Initiating Action: Proactive in making informed decisions and taking initiative, ensuring timely and effective responses to business needs and objectives.
