About the team:

At Aspire, Finance plays a strategic role in driving our business forward. Our Finance team consists of a wide range of crucial functions across 4 verticals: (i) Traditional Finance with Accounting, Tax, Reporting, (ii) Treasury, which is a core function for a Fintech, (iii) Data including Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Data Engineering and (iv) Strategy & Planning, which covers strategic road map, long term planning, fundraising and FP&A. Our Finance team engages in frequent strategic data analysis, research, and modeling to provide the best financial insights for critical business decisions, helping Aspire navigate the competitive landscape and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The team also plays a key part as the first user of our Aspire software, pioneer in Finance transformation, reengineering our internal process to stay agile while maintaining the internal control in a hyper fast growing environment.

About the role:

At Aspire, we pride ourselves on building an amazing team. We require a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our very talented lineup, as we continue to build up the FP&A function.
Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of the Finance team where you will lead a team of 2 people focused on Strategic Planning, Governance & Performance Management, and Investor Reporting.

What will you be doing?

• Strategic Planning: Lead planning and updating our key financial models, which includes partnering with cross functional teams to determine corresponding goals and targets in an integrated and cohesive manner.
• Governance & Performance Management: Maintain a lean, effective management cadence for accountability and decision making, allowing the team to remain nimble and dynamic while setting up the business to meet and exceed plans. Partner closely with business leaders for KPI oversight, promptly calling out opportunity and risk areas to business leaders for decision making
• Analytics and Insights: Partner with Business Intelligence and other teams to build a deep understanding of our business and generate strategic insights and action plans that drive growth in both the core business as well as new verticals.
• Investor Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management and investors, which includes leading the preparation of slide decks and maintaining investor data room materials (cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, cohort analysis and pricing models)

We would love to get to know you if you have the following:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in finance, strategy, consulting, investment banking or similar analytical roles.
• Strong interest in Fintech, Tech and Start-ups
• Possess a strong growth mindset to learn on the job and to be a strong team player that focuses on joint results and goals.
• Ability to build strong cross functional relationships - communications and engaging with internal stakeholders of various levels is key.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work autonomously, and navigate ambiguity with ease.
• Strong commercial and operational acumen as well as critical problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with financial statements and strong financial modeling skills
• Highly analytical mindset with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-starter, entrepreneurial with an automation mindset
