Head of Information Technology

Our Client:

A boutique capital markets company.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Manager-In-Charge of the Information Technology function.
• Liaise with regional Digital Transformation and IT initiatives.
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and motivate a team of highly talented engineers, data specialists and IT professionals.
• Ensure the effective management of the processes, systems and people required to design, develop, deliver, and improve technology services across the business now and in the future.
• Maintain and rationalise IT budget for efficient use of capital, rationalise insourcing and outsourcing to balance sustainability and cost efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology and optimise internal tools to improve business processes.
• Analyse the business requirements of all companies and departments to determine their technology needs.
• Propose and convince user buy-in on projects, communicate new features and enhancements to internal stakeholders.
• Define, establish, and implement scalable solutions to support key initiatives and stakeholders across ecosystem.
• Design and implement IT policies and strategies including, but not limited to: Standard Operating Procedures (IT Operations), Change Requests Management, Access/Security Control, and Helpdesk Service Level Agreements.
• Own delivery of all IT initiatives including front-end user facing technologies and back-end operational technologies.
• Oversee the company\xe2\x80\x99s infrastructure and technology platforms, including development of roadmap, specification of requirements, process workflow mapping, systems integration, and ongoing management, as well as modifications and enhancements.
• Effective development and management of a secure network that supports the growth of the organization, reduces the risk of outside breaches and protects sensitive internal and external client information.
• Manage existing vendors for IT procurement and review maintenance agreement.
• Any other duties as assigned and necessary.

Requirements:

Education:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related Technology based education

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
