Job Description
The Scope
The Head of Insurance lead and provide guidance to the team and manages the insurance policies for a group, including property & casualty, project construction, business interruption, marine cargo, product liability, directors & officer\'s liability.
The position involves developing an insurance strategy for the group, conducting risk assessments, ensuring corporate policy on insurance is implemented. He/ She takes charge of annual insurance budgets, leads negotiating with brokers and/or insurers, including analyzing renewal terms, establishing relationships with insurers and brokers. Other initiatives includes developing a claims tracking system, updating records of insurance premiums and claims.
The head should be outward looking, provides benchmarking of the industries and share knowledge and make recommendation to business units and the management.
Requirements
- Degree from reputable university with minimum 10 years of relevant commercial insurance experience; Preferably in manufacturing/ commodities industry and handled multi billion assets
- Certification in General Insurance or equivalent
