Job Description

Dynapack is a leading rigid plastics packaging producer spanning 6 countries across Asia and predominantly in South East Asia. With a headcount of over 6,000 people, it is driven to provide best in class packaging and sustainable solutions to its customers, comprising mostly of blue-chip global and regional companies. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, this role oversees the legal aspects of the business across all markets. The incumbent will be motivated to safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring it follows the appropriate legal guidelines and providing legal advice as necessary. The description of responsibilities include the following:

• Providing accurate and timely counsel to the Senior Management on a variety of legal topics;

• Drafting, reviewing; and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements as well as legal and compliance documents;

• Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures;

• Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business;

• Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practices throughout the business;

• Communicating with and managing any third party bodies such as external counsels;

• Designing and delivering legal training where applicable;

• Staying up to date with changes to legislation in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the business and industry.

• Lead and coach in-house legal teams.

• Frequent communication with the core team in Singapore and Indonesia; and hence an excellent command of English and a high degree of proficiency (spoken and written) in Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia is essential.

• Regular travel is expected owing to the regional oversight of the role.

• Proven experience as a legal counsel in a commercial environment.

• Past experience in private practice will be well regarded.
