Job Description


The Head of Marketing & E-commerce reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the organization and will be instrumental in meeting our ambition of aggressively growing our e-commerce revenue. The new hire will play an important role in defining the company\xe2\x80\x99s growth plan, executing growth programs and optimizing the revenue funnel. The key responsibility of the position is to identify opportunities and drive the growth of direct-to-consumer channels through customer acquisition, activation, retention, and upsell.

Requirements The Head of Marketing & E-commerce will need to be commercially savvy, highly analytical and have experience building an e-commerce channel/business from infancy to high-scale growth. He/she will have a strong capability around developing KPIs to drive performance across all areas of customer experience - acquisition, engagement, conversion and lifetime value. He/she will understand the complexities and challenges involved in scaling up e-commerce platforms and have the knowledge to undertake such a challenge. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in key markets such as North America or Europe and have an intimate understanding of the consumer beauty/wellness industry. He/she has prior experience managing external agencies and partners.

Success Metrics

  • Annual DTC revenue.
  • DTC contribution to Group revenue.
  • Revenue growth exceeding capacity growth.
  • Website conversion in line with target.
  • Marketing expenses vs budget.
Responsibilities
  • Marketing strategy development and roadmap - including budget planning, strategic review sessions, stakeholder buy-in and execution.
  • E-commerce P&L and performance vs targets, including full trading responsibility of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s brand websites.
  • Maintain, design and optimize DTC stores and responsible for order fulfilment policies and processes.
  • Manage marketplace key accounts and implement a long-term strategy around customer acquisition through marketplaces.
  • Analyze market trends, business opportunities and market segments to expand the business to new markets.
  • Analyze performance of campaigns to improve marketing effectiveness & ROI.
  • Work with agency partners and internal teams to develop and execute optimized online brand content and awareness.
  • Drive e-commerce sales performance & traffic to achieve performance targets.
  • Use data-mining and analytical tools to generate business growth opportunities and implement strategies in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Manage customer retention and loyalty programmes.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 8 years full-time working experience managing e-commerce web stores and marketplaces with a track record of generating revenue growth.
  • Technical knowledge and familiarity with e-commerce platforms.
  • Hands on experience and familiarity with acquisition channels across the spectrum of earned media, paid media and owned media.
  • Built an e-commerce business from a small base to a significant scale ($5m+ revenue)
  • Prior experience with digital product optimization and performance marketing, well versed in A/B testing, analytics, CRO, attribution models and prospecting using social media.
  • Good communications, interpersonal skills and ability to deliver inspiring and convincing presentations and pitches.
  • Good project management skills and is highly organized, meticulous and positive working attitude with ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good command of written English and ability to manage stakeholders from multiple geographies and backgrounds.
